Meet Dr. Orton

Dr. Orton is a board-certified optometrist at Nevada Eye Physicians in Las Vegas, NV. He enjoys seeing patients of all ages and specializes in contact lens fittings and treating keratoconus. He also provides eye examinations and diagnostic testing for conditions and diseases of the eye.

Education and Training

Dr. Douglas Orton was a double major at the University of California Irvine, earning degrees in the fields of economics and biology. Dr. Orton then went to the Pacific University College of Optometry to complete his Doctor of Optometry degree. Dr. Orton completed his internship at Tyndale Airforce Base Optometry Clinic in Panama City, FL in 1990. Dr. Orton is currently licensed to practice in Nevada, Washington, Oregon, and California.

Ongoing Contributions

Throughout his career, Dr. Orton has been involved in many research studies involving glaucoma, bacterial conjunctivitis, blepharitis, and dry eye syndrome.
